Gyeongju

After a five hour bus ride that should have been 3 and a half (due to the passenger 3 rows back being the only person on the bus who knew the way), we were in Gyeonju on Koreas east coast. The old capital from the days of the Shilla dynasty. The city is described as a museum without walls.

Not where they recorded teletubbies, but in fact the burial mounds or tumuli of the Shilla period kings and queens

Apparently the oldest observatory in Asia.
